“The occupancy in public hospitals in the state of Jalisco is under 25%. The positivity rate is remaining stable. But there are municipalities within Jalisco like los Altos and we have to be mindful of that.

Jalisco will be the first state in Mexico to distribute the vaccine to the public when it becomes available. But there is still a long road ahead and people cannot keep their guard down.

Right now 24.8% of patients in public hospitals are COVID-related cases. 42.2% of patients in intensive care are COVID-related. Puerto Vallarta has a relatively lower number of 14.5% of general patients that are in the public hospital that have COVID-19.

The positivity rate in the state is 31.6%. Puerto Vallarta is considered a lower risk municipality at the moment. There are some municipalities that are at higher risk which is because of the tendency of active cases going up or the positivity rate going up.
