From Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 March, 19 national teams will be competing for 600 thousand pesos.

Everything is ready for the seventeenth edition of the Puerto Vallarta “Charro” National Championship 2018, which will be held from Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 March at the facilities of the “Lienzo Charro”, ‘Miguel Prieto Ibarría’.

This edition will have 19 teams from all over the country, of which 8 are local. In addition, it will have the presence of teams such as Rancho Las Cuatas from Nayarit and Rancho 3 Potrillos from Jalisco.

In a press conference, the organizer of the event, Armando Ibarría, claimed that the championship continues giving positive sensations and the “charrería” continues gaining ground among people in Vallarta, however, there has been more growth is in the amount of tourists who appreciate this Mexican sport.

The activities began on Thursday at 4 pm with the formal ceremony. At 16:30 the “charreada” starts with local teams. On Friday, sports activities will begin at 12 a.m. and end at approximately 9 p.m. Same dynamic on Saturday and for Sunday.

Tickets will cost 100 pesos for Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, the price will be 180 pesos in pre-sale and 200 pesos at the ticket window, There will be a dance show after the competition, where the Vaqueros Musical band will entertain. On Sunday the cost of the ticket will be 150 pesos.
