With the support of volunteers, Lifeguard personnel of the Civil Protection and Fire Department did cleaning work last Monday at the Solidaridad pier (Los Muertos), where they removed a large amount of waste and objects that are thrown into the sea.
The objective was to remove the fishing ropes that get stuck on the seabed and on the piles of the dock, but also cables, hooks, pieces of plastic hoses, aluminum boats, plastic bottles and glass, among other objects were found.
Three divers from the Civil Protection and Firefighters Lifeguard area, Salvador Castillón González, Santos Paredes Estrada and the third officer Cristian Humberto Rodríguez Zavala, two support lifeguards, as well as two units (watercraft U-7 and the unit) participated in these tasks.
