The Federal Police and Civil Protection of the municipalities of Puerto Vallarta, Bahía de Banderas and Compostela were at the scene.
There was a deceased person and at least ten injured on the Federal Highway 200 (kilometer 111), on the road from Bahia de Banderas to Puerto Vallarta. The accident happened after seven in the morning last Friday.
On their social networks, Civil Protection and the Firefighters Department of Bahía de Banderas reported: “We inform that the Federal Highway 200 is closed in both directions due to a collision between 2 buses in the area of Las Lomas.
According to the first reports, one of the vehicles invaded the opposite lane, which caused the collision, the possible causes of the incident have not yet been determined. The buses belong to the companies Autotransport Unit Compostela and Autobuses del Pacífico. Elements of the Federal Police, Civil Protection of Puerto Vallarta, Bahía de Banderas and Compostela went to the area to take care of the injured. These people were transferred to different hospitals in the area.
