Puerto Vallarta is in the top 5 municipalities of Jalisco with more cases of some type of influenza, reported the State Health Ministry, just behind Guadalajara, Tlaquepaque and Zapopan.
After informing that in the period 2018-2019 a total of 23 people have died in the state due to complications due to influenza, the municipalities with the highest infection rate were named.
The metropolitan area has 4 of the 5 municipalities with the highest number of registered cases: Guadalajara with 36, Tlaquepaque with 21, Zapopan with 21, Puerto Vallarta with 9 and Tonalá with 7.
Jalisco is in the tenth national position in number of deaths from this disease, alarming figures, because all the deceased had no history of vaccination against influenza.
The accumulated for Jalisco during the seasonal season 2018-2019 is 132 cases of influenza. Fifty-five percent of those affected are female and the group with the highest incidence is 40 years and over.
