This Saturday, March 30, the Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa hotel joined the Earth Hour initiative, switching off its lights from 8:30 pm until 9:30 p.m.

This initiative is promoted by WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature). And took place on the last Saturday of March, switching off its lights from 8:30 pm until 9:30 p.m.

With a 100% occupancy in its 433 rooms, gardens, common areas and 5 specialty restaurants, lights that are not essential for the safety of the operation were turned off. Also, guests were invited to a candlelight dinner with live music at Las Casitas restaurant.

More than 2,000 LED lights were switched off, equivalent to 60,000 watts, which was the energy saved.

In addition to the 700 guests. Travel agencies´ visitors and Colombian tourists brought by the Tourism Trust, joined this initiative with a bonfire on the beach, enjoying the spectacular night view of the Bay.
