Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit expect to have a good Easter season, with the arrival of thousands of national vacationers starting this week.

According to the reservations made by national tourists that will arrive to the region this week, everything seems to indicate that the region of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit will be very close to full from Thursday night until Sunday night.

The Association of Hotels and Motels of Puerto Vallarta leaded by Álvaro Garciarce Monraz confirmed that just a few days before this holiday season, the reservations departments of the local hotels registered an increase of 20 percent in reservations made by national vacationers.

This figure was attributed by the local hotel sector to the growing interest of national tourists to visit places with beaches, particularly Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, during Easter holidays.

POSITIVE FACTORS

Garciarce Monraz mentioned that there has been an increase of at least 20 percent in online hotel reservations in the last 2 weeks.

In the opinion of the president of the Association of Hotels and Motels of Puerto Vallarta public safety in the streets and avenues of the city has been a determining factor to convince tourism to come to this region of the Mexican Pacific.

He said that, of course, other important factors also influence on the final decision of tourism, such as the natural and tourist attractions of Puerto Vallarta, as well as the great diversity of activities that can be carried out in this area and the hospitality of the service providers and people in general.

He said that these factors and others that are valued by vacationers influence and maintain Puerto Vallarta as a popular tourist destination among national visitors and, of course, also by the foreign market, mainly tourism from the United States and Canada.

HOTEL EXPECTATIONS

Thus, the hotel sector of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit expects to register an occupancy higher than 80 percent, on average, during this Easter season with full occupancy in many hotels during the days of greatest influx of visitors.
