At a press conference, the details of the tournament that will have teams from all the municipalities of Jalisco were announced. The press conference of the Jalisco Cup took place at noon.
This tournament will be held from May 26 to September 22 and will have the male and female category.
The women’s category will have 16 teams; 11 of the interior of the state and 5 of the metropolitan area of Guadalajara. There will be two groups of 8 teams, each team will play 7 games, 4 of them local and 3 as a visitor.
The first two places of each group will go to the semifinals, then the winners will play the final that would take place on September 22 at the Jalisco Stadium.
The prize for the team that wins the cup consists of 5 days and 4 nights in Madrid, Spain, plus the possibility of playing against the women’s team of Real Madrid and Leganés.
The winning team of the male category, will enjoy 5 days and 4 nights in Madrid, Spain and will also have the possibility of facing squads of professional teams, in this case, the sub-19 of Getafe and Leganés.
The idea of this tournament is to promote the sport and that in each games, the teams that play as visitors, can enjoy the typical dishes, as well as attractive and traditional places, with the aim of achieving a cultural exchange.
