According to numbers provided by the Integral Port Administration (API), a total of 101,756 tourists had arrived to Puerto Vallarta until the end of February, mostly foreigners. There were cruise ships arriving, all from abroad, except for the Magellan, which arrived 4 times from Acapulco.
The figure in question is lower than the same period of last year, when there were 115,469 passengers who descended from ships in Puerto Vallarta.
Between January and February, a total of 40 cruise ships were in Puerto Vallarta.
The tourists of these ships spent an average of 120 dollars per person during their visit to Puerto Vallarta, and it is expected that by the end of 2019 the money that tourists will contribute 700 million pesos to the local economy.
